This 20 cents coin was produced in 1858 only. At that time, it worth the equivalent to a schilling in Halifax. Not very popular, the government decided in 1870 to replace the 20 cents with the 25 cents. Several pieces of 20 cents produced have been send and melt at the Royal Mint in London and the resulting metal was used to produce the new 25-cent coins.
