Re: Vintage (60's I think) collecting stuff
Albums are probably the most sought after out of what I have I think. See below for a list. The rest is a pretty random assortment of coin tubes, hard plastic year sets, and small envelopes/windows. Small - 7 1/2" x 5 7/8" Canada Small Cent Collection 1920 to date Lincoln Head Cent - start...

Re: Vintage (60's I think) collecting stuff
Should have clarified. Apologies. There's no coins. Unfortunately his whole collection was sold off many years ago. It's just the albums and other items which are all empty. Not sure if there was a market for the vintage albums among collectors.

Vintage (60's I think) collecting stuff
Found a large box of my grandfathers old collecting paraphernalia. A bunch of old albums, coin tubes, windows, plastic sleeves and mint set containers. Mostly Whitman. I think it's all from the 1960's. Anyone have any idea if this is worth anything to anyone?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Canadian test notes 1961
Hello everyone. Found an old box of my grandfather's coin collecting stuff (posted in the coin forum). In the box I found two envelopes that look like they are from a convention in 1961 that contain an explanatory letter and some test notes. It's pretty interesting. Did a quick search and wasn't abl...

Re: toonie
I could be incorrect but my understanding was that for the first part of 2012 both the $1 and $2 coins were the 'old style' before the mint switched over to using the security features. Similar to how you can find the old effigy on coins for the first part of 2003 before they switched to the new one...

Coin Shows
Hello all, I was just wondering what everyone's experiences with coin shows are. There is one near my house this Saturday. There are only a few coins I'm interested in purchasing (most notably a 1923 Canadian cent). Are the prices at coin shows on par with what you can find on ebay? Even if I don't ...

Re: 2006 Loonie
Thanks! I've found this website to be very comprehensive in listing the different coin varieties. It's been great in helping me get my circulation collection sorted.

I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for others that have accidentally entered circulation!

1998 W Quarter
I recently found a 1998 quarter with a W under the Regina while going through some rolls. I see them listed on this website but it doesn't look like any quarters were circulated in '98. Does this mean this coin was broken out of a mint set?

2006 Loonie
Hello all, pretty new to collecting, I'm into just the circulation coins and trying to organize all denominations by year. I've been using this site as a guide to what I should be looking for. I noticed they only have two varieties listed for the 2006 loonie, the standard one and the Olympic. Howeve...
