Because you have tilted the Obverse, I can tell nothing about the stars that you are pointing to. The Reverse side is not clear enough to see any doubling. What did you think strange about the stars?
As suggested earlier in this thread, pick up a copy of the annual Charlton or Haxby annual coin guide. Great info, goo (sometimes) photos, and what to look for in the variety. You can't go by any annual price guide or Trends, as those given are no where what you could actually sell it to someone for...

Judging just from the crown and the leaves, I'd say XF-40 at a minimum, but not even close to AU. I really can't grade coins from a computer screen ... you can't tell actual wear from where just the patina has been rubbed off.
Here's what I got from a Token collector from another site: "This piece is a restrike, but still commands a decent price in the $1500 - $2000 range. Originals are about 3X – 4X the price of a restrike. The original pieces have round O’s in the lettering, whereas the restrikes are oval ‘0’s. Als...
You will need to have a real-life token expert look at your Token .. not just a random coin dealer. According to my Charlton Canadian Colonial Token book, those in copper are extremely rare, but there was a proof also struck that is listed at $750. The coins were never officially struck for circulat...

Post your coin on this site (attached link) and "pginrh" will chime in and let you know all about. He is the guru for Canada 50 cent and author of the 50 cent variety guide in Charlton, but Charlton didn't have 10% of the space needed for everything that pginrh has recorded: https://www.co...

Wearwise, VF-30+, but the surface sends up flags for me. Many many 50 cents are being faked, even the common ones. It's hard to define/opine something when it's not in your hand.
