Re: ARNPRIOR TYPE SILVER DOLLARS-GOOD INFORMATION

Not good information, more misinformation via wikipedia.
Only the 1955 Arnpriors have 2 and 1/2 waterlines the others do not.
The term Arnprior is not applied to any dollar with missing water lines
@Silverman It's time for you to buy a reliable reference book for Canadian coins.

Re: Large Cent Facts-Any Canada Large cent collectors/pics out there?

"I seen it on wikipedia, it must be true"
Not!
What a bunch of misinformation and half truths.
What purpose does it serve to propogate this stuff?
Anyone reading this thread please disregard the OP's wikipedia quotes and link and actually search this forum for real and factual information.

Re: Indented strike?

It's a damaged coin.
Some one has too many tools and too much time on their hands.
Impossible for something like this to happen at the mint.
You may have difficulty spending it.

For non MS examples, less than two bucks.
Plenty of MS hangers sell on eBay for three bucks or less.

I don't know what it is but I don't think it's acid dipped.
The reverse features look normal sized, for an acid dipped coin the features are somewhat reduced in size.

Re: years 50% silver dollars issued

The only voyageur 50% silver dollar was issued in 1972
Commemorative 50% silver dollars were issued in 1971 and from 1973-1991
No proofs were issued before 1981
From 1981-1991 these 50% dollars were available in both proof and BU finish
All of these NCLT dollars were 36mm in diameter
