I tried to rub the 1963 coin but nothing came off. Its blended into the coin. And it cannot be dirt, those 2 coins have been sitting in a box since my grandma and father obtained them. The one in cardboard is uncirculated, and the 1963 is circulated.

Here is another picture of an uncirculated 50 cent piece that I got from my father's collection. It has the same discolouration as you can see. I dont really know if its considered uncirculated anymore as the plastic in that discoloured spot is gone. The plastic is still on, its just a hole in that ...

Here is the 1963 one which has the most significant discolourations. I know for sure it isnt dirt or something along those lines.
