Re: Bill grading question!!!

I think everyone can reasonably grade a banknote if you take the time to understand What flaws to look for and what each series has to make it different From others in respect to acceptable traits But unless you have the note in hand a picture is never a good way to judge The Charlton Canadian Gover...

Re: Bill grading question!!!

I do agree that many times notes for sale on line can definitely look much better than once you see them in person And for this reason I always tell people To deal with people you can trust and people that offer a 100% return policy if you are not happy once you get the item I think anyone who wants...

Re: Bill grading question!!!

Personally I do not believe that older notes Are graded or should be graded any differently than newer notes with respect to a final grade (depending on the number of demerits a note may have) however that being said Different series do have different issues That should be taken into consideration W...

Re: Bill grading question!!!

If you look at the Charlton Canadian Government Paper Money Catalogue The prices listed are for raw banknotes In my opinion a raw note or third party graded note should not differ in value since you should be buying the note not the slab However that being said some collectors Feel that a graded not...

Re: What you collect and why

Not sure where you live but when I was younger I use to walk old farm fence lines
And abandoned ghost towns and labour camps with my metal detector
What you find is unbelievable and truly
Treasures of past times
It’s a great way to spend a day(s)
Good luck in your hunting

Re: when time comes to sell? what percentage of the Charltons catalog prices

One thing about catalogues is that they are only guides There are many variables to what you may receive for a note in the open market And supply and demand is usually a good indication of what will or won’t sell close to or above catalogue prices Auctions (some) May give you better exposure but rem...
