Re: 1980 D Lincoln Cent filled die

75% filled would be a sight to see. And as I mentioned I don't really hold onto too many US cents... and I have never sold any of my collection - although I should think about it. So thanks for the insight and I will keep this one in my scantly filled US box.

1980 D Lincoln Cent filled die

Good afternoon, I have this 1980 D Lincoln cent, in pretty rough shape, but it seems to have a lot of die filling. I don't really collect nor know much about the US cents but they fall into my lap on the regular as I am a CAD small cent and CAD nickel collector. Is it pretty normal for the US cents ...

Lincoln Memorial 1989 D double die cent?

Hey all, So I have this 1989 D Lincoln Memorial cent. I understand MD, and worn dies, but this stood out, so I thought I would pop it up here. What do you think? I figure on MD it would affect more than single numbers or letters. It's pretty zinc bubbly otherwise.

Re: Package Error - Charles III First Strike Uncirculated Set

If it were to be assumed it happened at the Mint, then the question is.. do they simply have uncirculated coins laying around from over a decade old that can end up in Mint rolls, or packages? Crazy.

Discussion about unopened Mint rolls

Good morning, I have always wondered about Mint rolls and errors /varieties. Let's say 1964 CAD nickel XWL variety. If you have an unopened mint roll, and there is not a XWL variety showing on the end, does it stand to reason there would not be one inside? I assume the die crack that caused the erro...

Re: Package Error - Charles III First Strike Uncirculated Set

Has there been any developments on this? I am shocked there have been no replies here. I'm curious as to how this could have occurred if not tampering. If it is in fact a mint packaging error, and this coin ended up in here than it blows open all kinds of speculation on what exactly can - and can't ...

Re: 1979 canadian coin

Although not a true variety or error, These "double date" 78-79 cents do hold value to some who collect such things, but even to those who do collect them they are not worth much until you get into the MS grades. I personally keep tubes of these in AU/MS. I like them. It's fun to find a full "double...

Re: 1964 dot question

Thanks, it's what I figured. What is the hype with this 1964 dot... is it not exactly that? A pin-sized die chip? (although is a slightly different area) I don't really see it officially recognized as anything special, but folks are going crazy over it.

1964 dot question

I found this 1964 cent with a dot... but it is not typically where the dot should be -just above the 9 at the bottom point of the leaf -, so this dot being higher, between the points, does it make it just a regular ol' cent? Thanks for any input.

Re: 1941 cent with corrosion

So, this was my first post, and now I have looked around the boards, it occurs to me that perhaps I posted this in the wrong section, I see a discussion area for cents that may have been a better fit... at any rate, would it help smooth over my rookie move if I ask for a grade? Cheers.

1941 cent with corrosion

Hey everyone, I found a pretty sweet 1941 Canada cent, -even has some original red!- but there is some green corrosion spots on it... much to my dismay. Is this excellent coin now just worthless? I assume even if I keep it, in a few years those green spots will grow and grow anyway? Thanks for your ...
