Re: Do any of you members sort for .999 Nickels.

If I'm right.. I think it's 100% nickle up to 1981.... I haven't CRH'ed nickles yet... I'm waiting to see if my bid on a lot of nickles from 1880 - 1920 nickels wins.. if so... I will then be buying a few boxes of nickles to fill in some dates.. never thought to pick up nickles for the metal content...

Re: New Canadian 50's

It would still have to fall in that number range... Hard to find... I don't do too much bill searching with the $100's or $50's I just find it cost too much... But I love bricking $5's and $10's... the banks hate me... it can sometimes cost a bit... but the searching is a lot of fun and there's alwa...

Re: 1954 1 Dollar Note with no serial number

Usually there's a bit more fading... in the background where the numbers would be and the detail of the background just doesn't look right... The biggest issue here is that your note isn't UNC... so everyone will automatically assume it has been tampered with in some way ... chemically and then wash...

Re: 1954 1 Dollar Note with no serial number

Collectors will generally only accept this type of error if the note is in UNC condition... otherwise there is a great suspicion that the note has been somewhat altered... Give the note a smell... I bet you can still probably smell some type of chemical residue on the bill where the numbers have bee...

Re: 50 - 1954 $1 Notels Sequential

Most people don't pay a premium for sequential notes....

If you had the 7483748... or the 7483847 there are those collectors who would pay a premium for those serial numbers.. on is a repeater the other a radar...

On a good day... you may get $1.50 or $2.00 per note...

Re: 1954 $2 and 1967 $1... Looking for help.

I don't have my Charlton on hand with me as I write this reply.. but.. The $1 is from 1967 and the prefix L/O is not jumping out at me.. given I can see a pretty hard crease in the centre I would put it at FV at best The $2 is a modified '54.... if you look in the Charlton they may not make a specif...

Re: What would you bid for this--

Yes.. the double dates I've heard of... It's the doubling of the "C" that I would be most interested in... I have a couple newfie pennies with doubling in the dates... but have only seen one at the last RCNA show where there was doubling on the "C" alone... hence why I brought th...

Re: What would you bid for this--

I would agree with Bill on this $5 .. with the $3 shipping may be the max I would go on these... with a little digging you can find some really nice large cents for less than $1 a piece... As for the double punched C... I couldn't really see with my computer and the pic that was provided.. but if th...

Re: What would you bid for this--

At $5 you are buying the P.E.I. cent ... and pretty much getting the rest for FV...

I am interested in knowing if the newfie 41 cent is a double punched C

Re: What would you bid on this for---

That dealer may like the fact it's rotated approx 30 degrees...

Certain people are happy to pay a premium to get coins that are very unique (errors)

Perhaps this dealer knew someone that would pay for that coin...
