Thanks for the info Henry...

You know I read the article... and while it said the '48 silver dollar was ranked #4... I sometimes think the argument could be made for the pointed '47 in MS64 or better is much harder to obtain.

Re: What would you pay for an MS64 1930 penny

Thnx... this is a MS64 brown... no red in it... If/when I pick up red coins I like to put them in NGC slabs... the plastics have been approved by the smithsonian and they are watertight... Until one of the certification companies start putting inert gas like argon in their slabs.. that will have to ...

Re: Please get rid of the spammers

I agree it's totally destroying the site... there should be a skill testing question to answer to enroll something the average computer just couldn't "read" and spit out.... between the spam and some other "wonky" things on this site i'm very discouraged to come here now.... I'm ...

Re: 1954 20 dollar replacement notes

I read this first too fast! Didn't read the signatures as I was already getting too excited seeing the *A/E. Thinking it was the devil's face.... But alas.. Beattie/Rasminsky is modified...UNCs book value is between 8 & 12 hundred. Trends are approx 80% of that... Definitely worth getting graded.

Re: Pre 1967 Canadian coins going for way bellow there value

Verdigris: Look at the 1967: m This coin is spotless of any tone or tarnish with the exception of touch between the denticles and rim at the 5 o'clock position on the goose side... To me this is where the tongs held the coin... it could also be reflection. On the obverse side ... look inside the D a...

Re: best affordable hand-held digital usb microscope

The detail that you get with the high power mag. is very impressive.. but I'm curious to know what is being used as a light source...

In the pics the centres seem to be very reflective of the light yet the outside edges of the coin(s) seems to be very dark..

Is it an LED light on the mag?
