Re: 1882H Large Cent

Thank you so much Bill.... I must admit I'm pretty new to the hobby, I have only really started collecting in the past 2 years. I love almost all denominations and have found a particular affinity towards banknotes, as well as 50 cent & 25 cent pieces. I'm a bit discouraged with 50 cent pieces a...

Re: 1882H Large Cent

I am truely amazed Bill..... the amount of knowledge you posess... I've just started to get into large cents... partially from the stuff I have read on many boards. Haven't picked up many vickies yet as it's hard to get a lot of them for cheap. What would be your recommended reading list for someone...

Down by the BAY

So on another thread I said that I had been buying a few notes and coins on the bay lately... Most others have been saying that now is the time to be selling and not buying. So I'm just curious as to what everyone else's margins are compared to book prices. For notes I use the Charlton guide and for...

Re: Attn: Canadian Mace

I have been buying like nobody's business in the past few days... finding some great deals too!

They are out there... esp. now that most people are saying they can't get it to the door in time for x-mas... I think fewer ppl are competing on certain items...

Re: Buying coins - discounts over Trends/CCN

Auctions can typically get a bit heated and some people don't like to lose an item once they've started to bid on it.... perhaps an ego thing.. perhaps it's that ONE item they REALLY want... I know for certain I saw a very nice '46 hoof in ....50 cent piece... I paid WAY too much... but it was somet...

Re: 1859

Bill I always appreciate your input... honestly I'm not much of a coin guy.... especially if you fill a room full of coin guys I'm definetly the odd ball out on knowledge.... but every time I read what you have to say.. it just opens up a whole new world .... Ohh yeah.. and I curse your name as I am...

From the photos.. I would say VG.. but have a suspicion that it may go to F in hand.. strike looks decent and I'm not sure if this photo capture all the details that are still being expressed.

Re: best affordable hand-held digital usb microscope

I just recently picked up another point and shoot camera and I'm having a helluva time getting any good shots...
