When you click on "post reply", a window opens up for you to type your message. Just above the box are some icons. The one with the mountains(3rd from end) is for inserting images.

Re: 1947 Silver dollar

I'm not really familiar with the '47 silver dollars, so I'll give you this link. It looks like both the 4 & 7 are repunched/doubled.

Re: 1983 one pound coin

What do you mean about the upside down writing on the edge. Do you mean where the reeding is or the edge of the Obv or Rev design? OK, I looked at the coin for coins that have actually "sold", not what they were listed for.; They sell for between $2 and $10: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40...

I'd say it's mostly MD, but there some die deterioration as well.

You can call or name it whatever you want. We told you what it is and you just have to admit that you don't have a treasure.

Re: 1980 foreign planchet?

Take a look at the photo that has all the dryer coins in it toward the start of the thread. And then look at the diagrams that shows what's going on:

Re: 5 cent 1932 far 2?

Just compare the spacing between 9-3, 3-2 and space between the 2 and the leaf. If they are the same, it's a near.

Re: 10 cent 1989 date error

To me, it looks like the coin was photo'd at a tilted angle, so one is/was closer to the camera lens and would appear large. In the lower photo, it just looks like gunk caught inside the loop. They look the same, but the coin has led a tough life so some design detail may be PMD altered.

It seems to have a strange texture, but maybe just the photo. Wearwise, you are nearing AU, so you are no lower than XF-40

It's a scratch. It goes through both the design and the field. Just damage once out of the mint.

I'm guessing a heavy smoker's house or something else with some sulpher in the vicinity.

There was one that was given to every schoolkid in Canada at the time. Lots out there but not sure which one the photo shows.

They are normally very good about entering things. Being a moderator is not a 24/7 job and is all volunteer so please give them a break. Go easy on the guys and, remember, it's Spring break for short trips with the kids.
