See http://www.coinflation.com/canada/ There is a whole group of people who have dedicated a lot of time mining for Canadian-based metal coins for...

Re: Lincoln cent collection

I never could figure out why they put a hole for the 22 plain since it’s an error coin. Also you can make one with a Dremel and grind the “D” off.Have you looked at the prices of what a 22 plain goes for it’s right up there with the 1909 S VDB.

Re: Mint Marks

The "P" is not a mintmark ... it means "plated" construction. Wikipedia calls it a mint mark :P https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Canadian_Mint P – From 2001 to 2006, most 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, and 50¢ coins issued for circulation were struck with a P Mint Mark to represent the Royal Canadian Mint'...

Thank

A big difference is we do not have an alloy recovery program, so we are able to acquire those coins at banks.
That’s because our coins down here in the states are worth recovering.
:D
If you go to the website coinflation With the composition of .999 nickel makes them worth recycling.

Re: Availability of 50 Cent and Nickel Dollars at Banks in Canada

Have you tried a coin store in the US. My local coin shop has plenty of Canadian coins and they sell at a .8 of face and then an extra .8 for the exchange rate.
