Just use a cardboard flip and mark the axes H and V before placing the coin iand aligning the obverse and stapling the flip. You should be able to measure the angle.

This is a nice wrong planchet error.John Regitko has a column in the Canadian Coin News that discuss all kinds of errors and varieties.It is very interesting and informative. As far as yours is concerned,I would send it to a TPG like CCCS to get certified.It would probably sell for around $500.Would...

The 1978 and 1979 have many types of doubling I have seen 1,2 and 3 digits doubled.
I have a 1978 doubled 78 and 1978 doubled 978,a 1979 doubled 79 and doubled 979 all in MS65.I would like to get a full date doubled but never seen one yet.

In 1997 the cent changed from copper to copper plated zinc CPZ (non magnetic).They are still produced today The P cents are minted from a copper plated steel CPS planchet which the Mint started using in 1999 as a new process and therefore is magnetic.The P stands for the plated steel ones . You can also buy a scan today for around $100 they also make nice pictures on toip of being used for more than just your coin collections.
