2006 Loonie

Hello all, pretty new to collecting, I'm into just the circulation coins and trying to organize all denominations by year. I've been using this site as a guide to what I should be looking for. I noticed they only have two varieties listed for the 2006 loonie, the standard one and the Olympic. However, when I was sorting I noticed that some of the standard ones have an RCM logo while others do not. I see that the site lists those differences for other coins. Anyone know if there are other years for the loonie (or any other denomination for that matter) where more than one variety was struck that's not listed on this site?

Thanks!

DA

you are correct - in 2006 there were 3 different loonies produced;
1 was a regular loonie with no logo under the head; 2nd was the
"lucky" loonie showing wings extended; 3rd was the loonie with
the rcm logo under the head [or bust].

there are numerous other years that the rcm produced 2, 3 and even 4
different coins for 1 denomination; example in the year 2003 when 4
different pennies were minted.

in 2005 there were 3 different nickels minted - from 1940 to 2010 there are 80 - 100
extra coins minted to cover denominations from 1c to $2 toonie

Thanks! I've found this website to be very comprehensive in listing the different coin varieties. It's been great in helping me get my circulation collection sorted.
