This popped up on a 3-day ebay auction a couple of nights ago. Saw it about 18 hours later at a $770 bid. Next time I checked, it had been delisted and flushed down the memory hole.

I think because it was a fake.

I think you're right Bill. I'd pretty much suspected that to be the case. Although, I thought what was even more outrageous than its fuzzy last 1 in the date, spoiled condition and apparently low grade of yet a non-circulated coin, is that someone would bid on an uncertified 1921 on ebay. Nevertheless, I believe it was P.T. Barnum who once opined on the cause of this phenomenon. :wink:
