I have come across a 1985 Canadian Dollar (Specimen). The coin is from a double dollar set and is absolutely flawless yet the word "CANADA" is doubled. From my understanding, this should not happen on specimen coins? Attached are two photos. Note the doubling of the letters (Sorry my photography is very bad). The second photo shows the coin from a distance.
Any thoughts on this? Is this common? I have never seen an SP 66+ coin with something like this before.
This coin should not exist?
