Great GRAB... I love all the newfie coins...

I'm confused on how you say you got it for less than face... did someone give it to you... or did you only pay 1/2 cent

I live in the USA and the coin shop buys Canadian coins at a .6 of face and sells them to us at a .8 of face. Some times they are buying coins from widows so the coin shop pulls the silver and gold and they rest we try to get. I have found more than one US coin shop that will sell Canadian coins at face are less.

Amazing...

I live in Canada... so personally I would be buying everything they had... even if I didn't want to keep it.. I'd spend it at face.. and still be up 20%.... *sigh*

Keep buying up those newfie coins... I think they're great and soo undervalued.. even at current CV prices.. but especially at .8 face... I would buy it all!!

Keep us posted with the finds.. and the stories.. sounds like your LCS is a pretty neat place to visit..

Amazing... not really. It only goes to show how supply and demand economics really works. Henry in this case, is just very, very lucky by birth :)

You would think so. It's called Needful Things. Meet the owner...

My long term plan is to make a trip to Canada to cash in all the change to pay for the trip. We also get Canadian coins for free from coin counters. See--http://realcent.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20414&hilit=+free
