I am not sure what country this coin is from. Please post up if you know. The rotation is off as you can see in the pics and it has damage at a lower spot.

The die rotation is interesting at about 30 degres .Too bad about the damages on both the obverse and reverse.Would have to have the coin in hand to see for any variety but it looks like a $4.00 coin from the pictures.

I do not know who listed the coin not knowing the country of origine when it it written on it?????

I concure with la cenne; $3 -$4. Do a search for Canada 1859 1c looking for sold items Henry. You'll see.

As to its origin, technically this one cent piece wasn't issued by a country, but by the Province of Canada, no?

Long shot could this be brass? The edge color looks odd.

Hard to see with the light reflexion on the outer perimeter.The few that I have seen for sale on ebay or at auction werte different,a lot more yellowish.

This is just your standard '59 coin... that has some stories to tell... I believe $3 is a decent bid in this case..

I lost the bid by a $1. I was later offered $50 for it if I had one it by a large Canadian coin dealer whom I ask about it . I should ask why the offer was so high.If I find out I will post.

That dealer may like the fact it's rotated approx 30 degrees...

Certain people are happy to pay a premium to get coins that are very unique (errors)

Perhaps this dealer knew someone that would pay for that coin...

I think that the dealer was offering $50 based upon the word "brass". This coin is maybe a $3-4 dollar coin ONLY due to the rotation to someone that collects rotations. It is a cull except for that and what I give away as golf ball markers ($1-$2 at most). If you are lucky enough to live in an area that is close to lots of shows or you have a friend who is a dealer, you would never have to pay $3 for a similar coin. I have nearly 1000 1859's and would gladly get rid of my cull jar for $3-4 each.
