1906 25 Cent Mintage

Post by KellyB » Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:29 am

Let us not forget - Remembrance Day! With the 1906 25 cent King Edward VII you have a mintage of 237,843. I have gone to other sites and they have 1,237,843. Which is right? Thank you. :Rechercher:

According to Charlton, the mintage was 237,843.
Checking other sites such as Numista, Haxbys and NGC, the mintage is 1,237,843.
It wouldn’t be the first time Charlton has made a mistake.

My Charlton shows a low 237,843 which includes both large and small crowns. The "small crown" is quite scarce/rare listed in Trends at $4,000 in VG. The small crown does NOT have an extra fold (notch) in the velvet upper right just below the jeweled arch, just a flat even, then curved, part of the crown upper right.
