Hello,
New to this forum. Hoping you can help me.
I just received the second coin in a series from the RCM. It is a 20 Dollar silver coin celebrating World War I aircraft. The coin has selective colour. At the bottom reverse of the count there is a big splotch of blue colour. This is obviously an error, but is it an error that adds any value?
It certainly detracts from the beauty of the coin. Shoukd I just return it for an exchange?
Thanks for any help.
Charles
Hello and a question
Re: Hello and a question
Hi
It would possibly help to get some feed back if you included a picture of the coin.
I am not an expert but I don't think an bit of extra ink would increase the value as an error coin. This should make us wonder though what would someone consider collectable as a painted coin error. If some coins turned up with a different colour then I think that would grab some attention, but short of that???
By the way, I took another look at the coin I received but could not see any extra colour on the coin. Nice coin though.
