Which reference catalogue is best for Canadian Tokens ?

I got interested in Canadian tokens about 2 years ago when I got a few in a miscellaneous auction lot, including a couple with countermarks, and I've since acquired more.

I can only afford to buy 1 book as I have other collecting interests.

I've seen advertised
Coins and Canada 2013 Professional Edition Price Guide
- see http://coinsandcanada.com/shop-coinsandcanada.php

and Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Colonial Tokens - (9th edition, I think)

Which reference catalogue is best for Canadian tokens and why ?

I have the Charlton 9th ed. for Canadian tokens...

If you're interested in tokens I like this reference book .. it deals specifically with tokens and only tokens.. It has a lot of information and history included.

I'm relatively new to tokens myself but have found this book to be a decent resource..

My main point.. if you're interested in tokens it's probably best to get a reference guide that deals specifically with tokens...

Shylo,
Thank you.

The English distributor has denied knowledge of the 9th edition - what date was your copy published, please ?

Yes, Charlton is best from those two, much cheaper, and better credentials
