Looking for ID of this old coin please

If you would be so kind as to guide me with identification
of an old coin piece. coin roughly measures: 1 1/8 diameter weighs roughly 4 grams
I am not a collector of coins and have been trying to identify this rather interesting piece. thanks Karl

Nice coin. Silver I assume. Just a guess, but I think this is an Ottoman Empire (circa 1300-1922) coin which you can compare with the examples below. Notice the beads around the rim...this is apparently typical of the style of their coins. Somewhere on your coin is the denomination on one side and a name of a ruler and the number of years since his ascension on the other which will allow you to date it.

Well ... I was wrong. -- It's a silver Tanga from Tibet!

Lots of them for sale on ebay
