Nice coin. It's a 9/6. There are 2 types (varieties) of the 9/6. I call yours the type 1. The type 2 is usually lacking anything inside the upper loop of the 9 and will not have the D/C at the first lobe of leaf 12. Both types will have the specific clean, precise break in the vine at leaf 2 and both show the underpunch between the tail and the upper loop of the 9 quite well .. slightly raised. The type 2 will have a nice 5/5 overpunch. Your type one has a very nice arc in the upper loop of the 9.

These are hard to find. Congrats.

Bill in Burl,
thank you for all this info.
Now I have to really look at what you said step by step. Maybe I have another within the lot I recently purchased. (several albums , with mostly QV coins out of an estate).I know there are some more varieties. :D
Very nice to find out that this coin is in fact not an every day coin.
Thank you.

The other marker for both types is that the C in Canada will have what I call "fire" in the top notch of the C. It is actually 3-4 slightly offset underpunches when the Obv working die was made. There are other reverses married to this Obv, but both of the 9/6's have the C that way.
