1 cent 1970 on wrong planchet

It’s over 3 grams. Just looking for info on it. I live on USA an Canada boarder. So I come across Canadian coins a lot

The weight of a 1970 cent is supposed to be 3.24g so that seems about right. Is that the actual colour
or is it a copper colour.

it’s the real color of it. That’s why I was thinking wrong planchette thanks for the tip on the weight. Also it’s not magnetic

Looks like it has been plated then. Not unusual back then as a high school experiment. You can see on the
Reverse where some of the plating has come off.
