1886 small and large 6

Post by Piepala80 » Wed Feb 08, 2023 9:19 pm

I have a 1886 small 6 over 6 AU-55 and a 1886 large 6 over 6 AU 50.
They were both AU-58 graded by NGC but ICCS down graded them.
Coins and Canada is listing them as being worth less than a regular 1886 small 6 or a 1886 large 6 and Charlton 74th edition doesn't have them listed in the book.
Are these errors actually less the a regular ones or did Coins and Canada make an error.
Can someone clear this up for me.

Could you produce pictures of Reverse and Obverse and blow up pictures of the date, pictures can sometimes be worth a thousand words

Not sure why you need pictures. Coins are graded and certified by iccs as 6/6. My question is why when I look at the prices of these coins they are marked as being worth less than a normal 1886

Are you talking about 10 and/or 25 cent pieces? If so, you have different Obverses that are married to the different date sizes/varieties.

I guess I missed what denomination you were talking about. pictures help decide your variety with markers and die cracks that's all gives a better idea of what your referring to.
