Cherry picked this 1909 King Edward 5 Cent piece with a cud error. I'm not sure if there is a die crack between the D and G through the dot, or if it's a part of the cud though?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you live near the border, make nice with an American dealer and ask if you can see their 'Canadian scrap' when you pop in. A lot of people moved state-side in the 40s-50s-60s to US/Canada border towns (Ontario/Michigan-NY, Quebec/Vermont etc.) Especially to Michigan with the auto industry. Many have passed on, and left these coins to their kids and grandkids who've grown-up in the states; and these coins mean nothing to. They flog them for the silver. Many US dealers have little interest in the unpredictable Canadian market. Advantage: Canucklhead collectors. :-)
