I found a couple of dime with this die crack. I couldn't find mention of it and it isn't listed. Is this something of interest or just too common to mention. Pictured is the nicest one of the couple I found.

Is it raised or incuse? Doesn't look like a die crack.

This is another one with a smaller "break".Tried for a closer scan but I couldn't upload it. Said file was to big. Using control and scroll up on the mouse will make it bigger.

That's a very strange place for a die crack. Normally die cracks start at a "stress concentration" point, like sharp changes in numerals, like 1, 5, or 7. Also at the serif points/ends of letters or numerals .. any place where the design makes a very sharp angular change of direction. From a metallurgy/engineering/mechanical standpoint that's what I've seen/known and the working dies take a terrible beating. I guess that they might be able to start at a chin/throat, but I've never seen one like that. Maybe a scratch in the working die?
