Found this quarter, thicker then normal with no ribs on edge.

Thicker rims and smaller diameter = Dryer Coin
Considered damage, not an error.

You need a weight, if no scale head to a Canada Post and ask nicely looks like struck on foreign planchet

If it was struck on a foreign planchet, it would still have the reeding.

A simple weight would confirm if it"s a dryer coin or something else, looks thicker and same diameter maybe shift change and new pressman didn"t change collar. Most dryer coins look funky

There are still signs of reeding on the coin so it must have been struck in collar.
Doesn’t matter if it is an early stage dryer coin or spooned, it is still damage.
