Mint Rolls

Post by AVL » Sat May 25, 2024 10:27 pm

Sorry for the simple question. But if I have a roll of 50 cent pieces in the mint paper roll, what value category do these fall into? Is it Mint State or Not for Circulation? I assume the values on this site are per coin in either case?

Your not giving us much info to go on.
Could you supply a little more info such as what year are the coins
and when you say mint paper roll, are you referring to commemorative
wrapping or ordinary paper wrapping.

My apologies.
I am referring to the special paper wrapped rolls that are issued by the mint each year.
I bought the 2024 wrapped roll at the post office but they can be ordered from RCM as well of course.
I am just wondering what pricing category the coins fall into. I have kept the roll fully intact.

Thanks

They would be graded as MS.
There is also a Proof 50 cent that is only available with the proof set.

Thank you Sir.
If this website does not have a price listed, like for the 2023 MS, what does that mean?

It is too early in the year to really have any record of the value of 2024 coins. The values are based on things like sales, market, trends etc. It will probably be close to the end of the year or early next year before approximate values can be established.
As there were 25,000 of these rolls produced, don’t expect any great increase in their value.
