Error loonie

Post by warworn » Fri Mar 02, 2018 11:13 pm

Hi there, found a loonie in my change with a portion of the beads missing as well as the top half of the "D" in Canada. Just curious what the error is called thanks.

The error is called a filled die .(Probably grease.)
Can't tell about the date though, pictures not clear enough,
but if there is doubling, it is probably MD. (Machine Doubling)

Whoops!!
Don't know what I was thinking. It's not called a filled die.
The error is called a "Struck Through" probably through grease.

There's no doubling, I'm waiting on a digital microscope for better pictures in the future. Thanks for the help (not a filled die)
