1996 toonie, off-centre

Post by Coin-Flipper » Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:03 am

Hi guys,

Came across this 2 dollar from 1996. I have seen a lot of this issue where it's off-centre slightly to drastically.

What do you guys think? Worth keeping around?? Is the rcm quality below par or due to its volume at production times errors should be excpected?? I have seen even newer coins being struck off-centre and other issues.

Cheers!

I have a friend that collects only twonies and he has some way way offcenter. You should keep it .. there are more of these around than you think, but there is a slight premium.

Thanks Bill,

For now I have it put away and looking out for anything a bit more out of the ordinary.

I have one which is at least 40 % off centred I believe it's at least worth minimum with wear 100 or more I'd hang on to all off centred they will only will become more valueable.
