1951 quarters, high and low relief

Post by tophatjoey » Tue Jun 22, 2010 3:05 pm

I'd appreciate grading help with 2 1951 quarters; one has "A" in GRATIA pointing at a denticle, the other has "A" in GRATIA pointing - I believe - between denticles. I'm not sure which is a high relief and which is a low relief or what grades they may be. Thanks in advance.

Both are high relief, the last A in gratia points to a denticle, and the lettering is quite flared.1951 low relief are found in PL(proof-like) strikes only, the odds of finding one in circulation would be remote, thus reliable guides don't give a value for grades below AU.Your coins are VG and worth bullion value.
