Trying to place date and value on my $1 CDN serial numbers

Post by ad3n » Mon Oct 10, 2011 10:40 pm

I'm trying to pinpoint what version of $1 bills that I have. When they announced that they were stopping the printing of the CDN $1 bills, my grandfather ran out and got my cousin and I each 100 in-series mint bills and gave them to us sealed. That was back in April of 1988. I'm unsure of the issue date of the bills, and I'm just curious as to a approximation of value.

I'm unable to see the issue date of the bill as they're wrapped, but the serial numbers for mine are BCC5594900 - BCC5594999. Again, they're mint, wrapped, and sealed for the past 23 years. The face looks like the issue done between 1969 - 1975, but I can't find the prefix on the site here in that category.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
