Paper Money Market

Postby Bopper09 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 4:15 am

I've been collecting paper money for a couple years now, but never really followed the market. I've probably spent $2500 over that time on different notes, and was considering taking a few in to trade for a 1/2 oz of gold. If it's a buyer's market right now though, I'd just hang on to them. Anyone have an idea if it would be a good time to sell?

Depends on what you have ...

I honestly believe the market is a bit soft right now... but I also don't see any sign of it getting much better anytime in the near future.

Ok, thanks, I don't think I have anything really special, some really good condition shinplasters, a few from the 1800's, a unc devils face, niagra suspension bridge, things like that. But I don't mind keeping them either if it's not really going anywhere.
