Postby soaprunner123 » Mon Nov 28, 2016 4:35 pm

Frustrated because there is very little for sale and I cannot get an actual price on the note. Any ideas other that having it graded and then putting it up for sale ???

Details about the Zimmerman note are in Charlton's Canadian Bank Notes book. Page 546 0f the 8th Edition. This is the big book covering all the old Canadian Chartered Banks. The book sells for $99.95. NOTE: this is not the regular bank note book that sell around $35.

Based on the information you provided the $5 note you refer to is listed as follows:
G - $750.00
VG - $1500.00
F - $2250.00

It is important to remember that the more information you provide the better someone on this forum may be able to provide answers to any questions posted. A picture is especially helpful because sometimes there are variations on bank notes that can greatly effect the price of the note in question by several $1,000's.

The price you pay will vary upon who is selling it and it's condition. If a private individual it should be less then a dealer.

If you buy it take a few pictures of the front and back and post it here.

Good luck.
