Is this worth sending in for grading

Post by Timhunt87 » Thu Feb 02, 2017 6:10 pm

Hello
I have 5 of these 1870 notes in about all the same condition. Was wondering if it's worth getting them graded?? Can anyone give me there opinion on what grade they look to be in?
Thanks

I don't think I would bother getting them graded.
It would probably cost more than they are worth
as they are well worn and creased. Hard to grade bills
from a picture, but they might make VG.
Look to see if you have a series A. They are worth
4 or 5 times as much as the other series.
Still nice to have in any grade.

You would be wasting your money to get it graded.

I have sold many of these in the $10 to $25 range.

Grading will cost approx $12 - $15.

Furthermore collectors prefer ungraded "Shin Plasters".
