Taking pictures of coin

Post by bushman74 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 11:55 pm

Jasmin on the French site posted the following as a simple set-up for taking pictures of coins. I hope to build one of a similar nature and buy my self a macro lens for my DLSRImage

I hope this image was added.

If not can someone please give me the correct way to add an image.

Thank you

This set up is pretty straight forward...

I personally use an old science clamp stand and I don't really have a fancy camera... I like my ipad mini with a macro lense for really detailed shots or just my regular digital camera for a full shot..

I also put diffusers on the light source to reduce direct reflection.

I used to use this method (http://www.wikihow.com/Photograph-Coins). I think it more simple and efficient.
