troubadour please let me know where you will get melt value or $15 from a dealer. If that's the case I will rush there right now and cash in all my 1967 silver dollars.

At this very moment (13:18 Friday Nov 15/19), if you were to go to J&M Coins in Vancouver you would get $9.75 for a 1967 Silver $1.

Alternately if you were in Winnipeg and were to go to Gatewest Coin you would get $9.93.

Dealers do not pay melt or higher for sliver. They pay less.

In fact when I talked to a few Gold/Silver traders at the Edmonton Coin Show this past weekend (Nov 09 & 10) they advised me that they usually paid Spot less 10 or 15%.

Selling privately a person may or should be able to get over spot silver price in some cases.

If you want to see current prices check out both dealers websites.

Sorry I don't have any from the east.

Sorry but I’m getting confused, this web sight is saying “ melt or minimum value “ is $14.22.
I was at the Edmonton show and should have been asking questions there but was distracted by all the coins and banknotes I wanted but could not afford😩

I did more investigating on non numismatic sites, just silver values, looks like silver at .72 cents per gram should have the value of a 1967 at closer to the $14 value then $9.75
But I’m still wanting to hear any opinions out there on what I should expect as a value on a 1967 silver dollar.

My apology, I did make a mistake.

The actual numbers today are:

Gatewest coin $12.80

http://www.gatewestcoin.com/bullionBuy.html

J & M $11.78

https://www.jandmcoins.com/salesitem/08 ... DD0DE868DD

I hope these links work.

The Gatewest link is constantly updating when the markets are open. I do not know about J & M.

I am not sure where you are located, however whether you are in eastern or western Canada there are a number of coin or bullion shops you can visit for an local prices.

I find Gatewest to be among the best prices offered.

Thanks for the info . Will check out those sites and make a plan.
Bushman74,I know you had put a invite out to everyone to say hello at the Edmonton coin show but I was truly lost in looking at all the stuff there that I never noticed any booth names, next year I’ll try to pay more attention .
