1973 Dollar Note with Ink Error

Post by Coin Gunner » Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:13 pm

I am fairly new to note collecting and wanted to post some photos of one dollar bill I had stashed away in an envelope. I only noticed now that there are multiple spots on the bill where the are words or designs that have been printed very lightly backwards. You have to look very closely allover the bill on both sides.
I just wanted to know if there is a name for this type of error and has any additional value or still just face value. I put it into a protection pocket for the time being.
Thanks for anyone who has the time to respond and educate me.
I will check in later this week :Lecture:

I don't see anything. Can you be more specific?

I can see what they call an offset although it is
a very light one. It is caused when a wet printed sheet
touches another one and transfers some of the ink.
To have any great value, it would have to have a heavy offset
but yours is still a keeper. If you want to identify it, you
can mark it as a "light offset".
