5 cents 1926 Far?

Post by PapiBob » Mon Apr 01, 2019 7:29 pm

Hi, I would like to have your opinion on my coin. Is this a far 6? Is there an easy way to tell? Thanks for your answers.

The near/far refers to the gap between the 6 and the leaf. As stated in the thread, it's too easy to file off the tip of the 6 to make it look like a far. By using the gaps and the space between the rim and the 6, you won't be mistaken.

Then looks like a far 6 to me. Any opinions?

Yes, it looks like a "far" to me as well. Don't get tired stuffing those $100 bills into your pocket. The coin has been heavily circulated but they're a pretty tough find.
