What is the difference between proof set of Canadian coins and a specimen set of Canadian coins

Thanks for the reply , but wondering more as to how are they made different?? Are the loonies made from different metals ??? are they pressed under different pressure??? is the purpose of them just so the RCM has more product to market????

And yes, it is a way for the Royal Canadian Mint to add products to their inventory for collectors. Most of the mints around the world produce these kind of collectors items.
