1954 bills

Post by mags » Mon Nov 11, 2019 10:58 am

Hi
I have a one dollar bill beginning with NP and a two dollar beginning with prefix DU.
I am unable to find anything on these 2 prefixes so I am thinking they are just run of the mill and not worth a great deal?
Thanks for your assistance

You don't say what condition they are in so unless they are in pretty much uncirculated condition, they are not worth much over face value as they are both common prefixes.

They were folded but otherwise in good condition.
Thanks so much for the information!

If they have been folded they can't be UNC so wouldn't be worth much over face value.
Just keep them as a souvenir of times past.

Mags, I can’t tell you a value on your banknotes but if you look on eBay or get out to a coin show in your area you will find that your bills are worth more then face value no matter what shape they are in . You just have to market them correctly and find a buyer . Lots of people do it,,
