1954 Lawson Bouey $1 no devil's face with "CI" prefix

Post by bushwhacker » Tue Nov 12, 2019 8:37 pm

Hello,
I've had this banknote for years. I had no idea the prefix mattered. Thanks to you, I do now. However, your pricing page only lists a value from VF and up (which mine is not). Does this mean a note, in as bad shape as mine, has no value ? I was going to go to the Peterborough Numismatic show this weekend to ask around, but I won't bother if it isn't worth fussing over.
Thanks,
Bushwhacker

Oh ! I see. You mean an asterisk. No, it doesn't have an asterisk in the prefix. So I guess it’s just another old banknote. I'll have to find something else to do this weekend.
Thanks,
