Brian Cornwell - Canadian Literature

Born in Vancouver, B.C. and a graduate of University of Toronto, he began to collect Canadian Coins seriously in 1976, and soon devoted much of his time to research, writing, and education. He 1 was a member of "Fellow of the Canadian Research Society" and has written numerous articles for coin publications. He was publisher of the Danadian Rare Coin Report, and a founding partner in the International Coin Certification Service (I.C.C.S.). He conducted educational grading seminars and was in demand as guest speaker at many numismatic events.

In 1997, Cornwell received the J. Douglas Ferguson Award, the highest honour in Canadian numismatics, and in 2005, he was appointed as a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association. Cornwell died on November 21, 2022.
