1 cent 1896 - Far 6
Because the 9 and 6 were handpunched on each die, the position of the 6 may vary. Approximately, 50 dies were used. Various editors and certification companies stopped to recognize this variety because of this. There is no consensus on what is the exact position of the 6 that is accepted as the standard. Some 1896 1-cent coins previously certified are still being sold at a premium price.
