Re: 1974 nickel with incomplete punch error

It looks to me like post-mint damage. It looks like someone used the nickel as a shim under a chair or table leg, for instance. It's worth 5 cent in my eyes. All the damage went THRU the design

Re: 1 CENT 1897/7?

As stated above, there at least 2 nice 7/7's and at least one 97/97, but yours are not it. You have highlighted some die cracks and they are common for the year and no prmium.

Re: Coins

They're referred to as Buffalo Nickels and every US kid, growing up before the 60's collected or saved a few of them. What is that brass colored ring that you have it in? For the 36's, always look for the 3-legged buffalo ... scarce.

Re: 1977 Dryer Coin?

Find a friend who is on Facebook Marketplace. I've had a friend sell over $4,000 worth of excess Canada large cents and foreign. I let him keep 30% of everything he sells.

Re: 1965 dime corrosion

Acetone will remove some of the tacky stuff. The hard, brittle green stuff is another story. There will be pitting underneath it. Try to soak it in extra-virgin olive oil for a week or so and then do some gentile rubbing with a soft cloth. If it removes some, then continue doing that and hope that i...

Re: 2024 10 cent Die Clash On Reverse

Weren't some of the '21's colored/painted by the mint, the sails and date? It looks to me like residual blue paint from past pressings

Yes, what was posted is correct. We always get 3-4 inquiries like this every year. Just plating or coating.
