Re: 1964 canadian nickel beed variations

Welcome to the forum.

There are no BEADS on a 1964 Nickel, there are denticles.
The first beads on a Nickel were introduced in 1965.

Re: 1996 roll toonies

As stated a clear photo of both sides is required so we are not guessing.
Also doubling and detached jewel would be a variety, not an error, big difference.

Re: I think I found doubling

Looks like minor Doubling.
In the future, please do not use screen shots, they are too pixilated to see fine detail properly.

Could be a Merchants token, what is on the other side?
Always show both sides when making inquires, even if blank.

Re: USA COIN ERRORS - ARE THEY WORTH ANTHING?

The first is an off centre strike, a legitimate error. The second coin has just had the reverse ground off, you can’t have a coin with with the rim only showing on one side. The Buffalo nickel looks like the rim has been removed, I would like to see the other side and the weight in grams to two deci...

Re: My coin collection of canadian sets with some possible erros?

Bill
By SMS, he is referring to the special mint sets that were handed out to mint employees.
There were an estimated 50-100 made so finding one in the wild would be almost impossible.
See the OP’s other post on the same subject.

Re: 1964 American nickel and penny sms questions

None are SMS, they are just part of the over 2 billion 600 million cents minted in Philadelphia that year. If you are looking for SMS coins in the wild you are butting your head against a brick wall because once they are circulated, it is almost impossible to tell the difference plus the fact that t...

However it happened, it was after it, left the mint.
You could make some yourself with red nail polish.

Re: 1954 possible Error info?

If it is a Struck Through, which I am only surmising by that photo, then it would
be a minor error, not all that uncommon.

Re: 1954 possible Error info?

looks incuse so it may be a Struck Through.
Not sure where you see the missing chrome error, it has to
be missing from the whole coin, not just part of it.

Re: 1963 Doubling and Chip

Welcome to the forum

First, a Doubled Die is not an error, it is a variety, big difference.
Also what you have is not a Doubled Die, it is Machine / Mechanical Doubling, a worthless type of doubling.
Your photography is very good, you can see all the detail which is what we need.

That couldn’t happen during the striking of the coin so it is damage.
Looks like it has taken a hit flattening the bottom of the 8
