Re: I believe I have a error coin for new brunswick quarter

Please do not shoot pictures on an angle, this distorts the coin.
Also always include a complete picture of both sides off the coin with an explanation of
what you see as an error. This will save us trying to guess at what you are referring to.

Re: Think I found a new error for 2003 quarter

Can you show a full picture of both sides head on.
It looks like it may be an early stage Dryer Coin but hard to tell from those photos.

Sounds like it may be a dryer coin but as Bill stated, without pictures,
we can't say for sure.

Re: WW1 Battlefront Series Error coin ?

It is not uncommon to have an aftermarket supplier gold plate commemorative coins both here and in the USA.
Sometimes they just plate part of the coin and then sell them at a premium. They even colourize some coins.
I guess as long as there is a market, they will continue to do it.

Re: Serial not found

It is just the currency with a premium that is listed seperately. If you have a prefix that is not listed, go by the top line. There might be a small premium on the $100.00 as it seem s uncirculated. The other two, even though there are some interesting serial numbers, there would be no premium on e...

Welcome to the Forum.

What help are you looking for? Value, grade, etc.
Also it would help if you showed both sides or the coins, don’t even know if that dime is a Mercury
or a Roosevelt

Welcome to the Forum

Hard to say what happened to it unless you were there at the time.
One thing for sure, it didn’t happen when the coin was struck.

Re: one dollar - Nice serial number

Too bad that your note is 1 digit away from being a solid number would have brought a good premium. If you were looking at selling it, someone might still be interested in it as a "Fancy" note. Your other 3 don't have much value as there were over 1 Billion printed in that series so even in uncircul...

Re: Assessment of 1947 as to DD and grading.

Terminology correction: A Doubled Die is a Variety, not an error. That is not DDO or DDR on your nickel that is common Machine Doubling. With the condition of your coin, it wouldn't be worth much more than 20-25 cents. There were 9,595,124 of the 1947ml struck so they are not hard to come by in good...

Welcome to the forum
That is a 1968 dime with the proper Tiara Portrait but you are right when you say poor condition.
That coin has had a rough life

Re: 10 cents damaged or something?????

It’s just damage. Has been ground down, probably intentional.

FYI-
It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin and there is no way that damage could happen
during that time.

Re: Canadian 5 cent 1751-1951 King George Vl nose bridge is missing???

It’s due to overpolishing of the die. You can see on the forehead where it is also weak.
Not really considered an error but more of an acceptable part of the minting process
as it was Intentionally done. Doesn’t really add too much extra value unless you can
someone who collects that sort of thing.
