Re: 1955 One Dollar Coin
Thanks bushman74 l like getting all the different ideas as to how to deal with a problem. When you talk about rubbing the coin after soaking in vegetable oil you just mean with your fingers?? I was a little unsure of a long soak in the acetone but did try it on one coin . It did a not bad job of rem...

Re: 1955 One Dollar Coin
Thanks Coinguy, For me the most important thing is to get rid of the tape glue with out hurting the coin, will track down some acetone and give it a try.

Re: 1955 One Dollar Coin
Still no one wants to have any input on this?? Coinguy indicated that it was only worth the silver value , so that would indicate that you can’t devalue it by cleaning it.

MDracing , i see where you didn't get anyone replying to your question. lets try again. I just got a few silver dollars. Re: specific cleaning of the devices?
Point taken. I sure don’t think of myself as any kind of a expert, and anyone that’s in to coin collecting should gather as much info as they can, from as meany sources as they can and then draw there own conclusions . To your point of cleaning in away that would enhance the look of a coin . If anyo...

Re: specific cleaning of the devices?
I think it all depends on if your a collector or a dealer. Do you want to make money at this hobby or do you just enjoy collecting . If you want to make money then stay away from anything you even think might be cleaned. If your collecting then collected what you think looks good. And once its yours...

Thanks for the info . Will check out those sites and make a plan.
Bushman74,I know you had put a invite out to everyone to say hello at the Edmonton coin show but I was truly lost in looking at all the stuff there that I never noticed any booth names, next year I’ll try to pay more attention .

Re: Silver Prices
I did more investigating on non numismatic sites, just silver values, looks like silver at .72 cents per gram should have the value of a 1967 at closer to the $14 value then $9.75
But I’m still wanting to hear any opinions out there on what I should expect as a value on a 1967 silver dollar.

Sorry but I’m getting confused, this web sight is saying “ melt or minimum value “ is $14.22.
I was at the Edmonton show and should have been asking questions there but was distracted by all the coins and banknotes I wanted but could not afford

Re: 1954 bills
Mags, I can’t tell you a value on your banknotes but if you look on eBay or get out to a coin show in your area you will find that your bills are worth more then face value no matter what shape they are in . You just have to market them correctly and find a buyer . Lots of people do it,,
