Nothing new here.
Your coin was struck by a very worn die which had been created from a worn and damaged hub.
Very common for 1880.
Mint mark size and placement is meaningless as the H was hand punched making each die unique.

Charlton's has these listed at $5-$10 for choice uncirculated.
They sell regularly on eBay for about $12

How much does it weigh?

Cladding and plating are two entirely different processes.
There are no clad Canadian coins.

Someone has "spooned" the edge of this coin.
It is now a damaged coin, but if you like it, keep it.
